Social Event Gatherings
Our Community Centre is the heart of village life, hosting a wide range of social events throughout the year. From mid-winter Christmas celebrations and sausage sizzles to cancer awareness fundraisers, burger and chip nights, and lively rugby match gatherings, there’s always something happening. These events are a wonderful way for residents to connect, have fun, and support great causes together.
Mens Group
Every Tuesday, the men of the village get together for a relaxed catch-up—whether it’s a friendly game of darts or pool, or planning their next outing. From local cafés and wineries to event centres, Volare, and the classic car museum, there’s always something new to enjoy and great company to enjoy it with.
Thai Chi
Every Wednesday, residents gather for a gentle and rejuvenating Tai Chi session—an activity that supports balance, flexibility, and overall wellbeing. It’s a peaceful way to start the day, followed by a shared cuppa and conversation, making it as much about connection as it is about movement.
Rummikub
Rummikub is one of our favourite social games at Tasman Village. Easy to learn yet wonderfully strategic, it brings residents together for laughter, friendly competition, and a good mental workout. Using numbered tiles, players create runs and groups, reshaping the board as the game unfolds. It’s a fantastic way to keep the mind active while enjoying relaxed, social time with neighbours. Whether you’re a seasoned player or keen to learn, everyone is welcome at the table.
